PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

The purchase of a parking permit gives one the authorization to park within a specified area(s) on college controlled property. No liability is created by the granting of parking/vehicle operating privileges on property owned, leased, or otherwise controlled by Medgar Evers College. The College assumes no responsibility for the care or protection of vehicles or their content(s) while operated or parked on college property. Officers of the Public Safety Department routinely patrol all college parking facilities.

All parking permits and visitors passes remain the property of Medgar Evers College and must be surrendered upon demand. Parking permits are intended for the exclusive use of the purchaser and are not transferable. The unauthorized transfer of a parking permit will result in the loss of parking privileges and violators will be given parking citations and/or towing. The purchaser is responsible for any and all College citations issued to the vehicle(s) listed and/or issued to any vehicle(s) in which their permit is displayed.

I understand that the parking permit issued to me does not guarantee me a parking space. Lack of space is not considered a valid excuse for violation of any parking rules and regulations.

• The host must submit a written request at least 24 hours in advance to the Director of Security.
• Due to limited visitor's parking space, all requests will be processed on a first come first serve basis.

• Display the Medgar Evers College parking permit or a valid visitors/temporary permit.
• Be fully insured.
• Currently registered.
• Display a valid Inspection Sticker
• Be operated by a licensed Driver.

• Refunds will be prorated from the date that the request was submitted. Therefore, requests for refunds should be made expeditiously.
• Refunds will be issued only for documented emergencies.

• With the exception of twelve (12)-reserved spaces, all parking will be sold strictly on a first- come first-serve basis.
• Student parking will be available ONLY AFTER 5:30 P.M.,

When purchasing a permit, the following documents must be presented to the Security office: valid CUNYCard, Vehicle registration, Valid Driver's License and Insurance statement for vehicle

• Vehicles not authorized to park overnight will be ticketed and booted at owner's expense.
• All parking permits must be attached to the rear view mirror at all times while on college grounds.
• Vehicles that do not have permits properly displayed as instructed will not be allowed to park.
• Damaged Permits may be replaced free of charge. However, the damaged permit must be turned in before a new permit can be issued. Lost or stolen permits will be replaced for a fee.
