The City University of New York Public Safety Service is dedicated to providing excellence in protection and service to the University community. As law enforcement officers, we shall continuously endeavor to ensure a safe and secure environment conducive to a positive social and educational process. This mission is exemplified by our department motto, “SERVICE, INTEGRITY AND PRIDE” About The Security and Public Safety Department Medgar Evers College maintains a full-time, 24 hours-a-day Security and Public Safety Department. All uniformed officers are Peace Officers registered with the New York City Police Department. Peace Officers have full investigative, and arrest authority on campus property.
