In light of the times we live in, please note it is important that you read this information thoroughly for you safety. Please send any questions regarding fire safety and emergency evacuation procedures to my office.
Room:C-115 In The Event of A Fire or Other Emergency: Begin the evacuation immediately. Areas for immediate evacuation are always the fire floor and the floor above. Remaining floors will be evacuated in priority as the condition warrant. When arriving at a close door, including an exit door, always check the door with the back of your hand before opening. A hot door may indicate a fire on the other side. In the Event of other Emergency An announcement will be made by the Public Safety Department. You will then have the option of leaving the building or remaining on campus. If you choose to stay you will then be directed to one of four areas. If you are in the Carroll Street Building you will be directed to the gym or cafeteria. If you are in the Bedford Building you will be directed to Auditorium or cafeteria annex. In The Event of a fire If a fire condition is reported to you or smoke or fire is noticed, follow these procedures:
Never use the elevator during a fire or when a fire alarm is activated. Never go to the roof unless instructed. Always Remember When you hear an alarm, siren or see flashing strobes lights stay aware and leave the building utilizing the nearest exit. (Do not panic) Differently Able employees should always notify their floor warden or deputy floor warden of where they normally sit. Where do I go when I leave the Building? Residents in the Carroll Street Building must assemble on the side walk on front of 1150 Carroll Street. Alternate Sidewalk in front of 250 Crown Street. Resident in the Bedford Building must assemble on the sidewalk in front of 117 Crown Street. Alternate sidewalk on Montgomery Street between Franklin and McKeever Place. |
