MESSAGE FROM THE PROVOST

As the chief academic officer of the College, it is my privilege to work with talented and diverse faculty, administrators, and staff to meet our core mission to develop and maintain high quality, professional, career-oriented undergraduate degree programs in the context of a liberal arts education. At Medgar, we further have a mission to provide transformative educational experiences to our students and the broader community; to continue the legacy of our namesake, Medgar Wiley Evers, by promoting equal opportunity and social justice for all people.

SCHOOL OF BUSINESS

The School of Business (SoB) at Medgar Evers College has been fully accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools & Programs (ACBSP) since 2003. Of the five business schools in CUNY, Medgar Evers College is one of the two that is accredited. The School of Business is an intimate educational environment that affords close mentoring relationships between faculty and staff, in which approximately 70% of its students are matriculating in career focused baccalaureate programs.

SCHOOL OF LIBERAL ARTS & EDUCATION

The mission of the School of Liberal Arts and Education is to prepare students to achieve their highest academic and career goals through engagement in a learning community endowed with a rich and diverse Liberal Arts curriculum that fosters scholarly excellence, cultural awareness, and social responsibility.
