Registration Using

Read these instructions and then click on the E-SIMS link.

1. From the Medgar Evers College Home Page, go to

2. Enter your Student ID Number and PIN and submit.

Please Note your STUDENT ID NUMBER IS YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER

PLEASE NOTE YOUR PIN may be your six digit birth date mmddyy

or
the first six digits of youR social security number

After you are logged on select an option from the menu on the left side of the page:
Address/Telephone Change
Change Pin
Update your e-mail address
Check open Sections semester
Check your grades and schedule
Register for the upcoming semester sessions
Check your transcript
Check your tuition and financial aid information

Check your semester bill

Notes about Registration

When you select REGISTER, you may add up to five courses at a time.  Enter the four digit registration codes for each request and then press ADD.  If there is a problem with any of your selections, a message will appear above that selection.  If the course was closed or cancelled, you will be able to check for open sections by clicking on the option to VIEW OPEN SECTIONS.  If your courses are open and you have the prerequisites for them, they will appear with the indication CURRENTLY REGISTERED. For each course you are currently registered for you will see two buttons:  DROP or REPLACE.  You would use these buttons if you wished to drop the section or to replace the section with another section.  Be sure to check your schedule while you are still on-line using the menu option CHECK YOUR GRADES AND SCHEDULE on the left side of the page.

Notes about Reviewing Your Schedule

When you select the option to REVIEW YOUR SCHEDULE, you will see a grid showing the classes for which you are registered by each day of the week.  For summer terms, the grid will reflect the sessions by starting and ending dates.

Remember to Sign Off

If you are using a computer on campus to access E-SIMS, be sure to sign off completely when you are done so that the next person using the computer does not access your records.

Browser Compatibility

Your web browser must be able to accommodate 128 bit encryption in order to use E-SIMS.  Compatible browsers include:  Netscape 4.x or higher, Internet Explorer 4.x or higher, and AOL browser 4.x or higher. You can check your web browser by following the directions on the sign-in page of E-SIMS.
