The Health Services Office offers first-aid medical treatment, medical referrals, and health counseling. A Health Record Form is required to be on file for every student enrolled at the College. Students who do not fulfill this requirement prior to admission should make an appointment in the Health Services Office. A Registered Nurse provides the following services: first aid treatment to students, faculty and staff; preventive health counseling; various health prevention literature; GHI student health insurance forms; and student dental forms. Other services offered include student preventive health programs on substance abuse (drug and alcohol); the HIV/STD Preventive Health Library/Resource Center sponsored by NAFEO/CDC; and, Immunization Programs mandated by New York State PHL 2165 and sponsored by CUNY. Student immunization records are kept and reviewed in the Health Services Office. The Office is located in Room M-20 in the Carroll Building on the Mezzanine Level.
