The mission of the School of Science, Health and Technology is to creating opportunities and environment for obtaining science education for students of diverse socioeconomic, educational, cultural and ethnic backgrounds from greater New York metropolitan area in general and from  central Brooklyn in particular. 

Congruent with the mission of the college to offer and maintain high quality, professional, carrier oriented undergraduate programs, the School offers baccalaureate (B.S.) degrees in Biology, Computer Science, Environmental Science, Mathematical Science and Nursing and as well as  Associate (AS) degrees in science (Biology concentration, Computer science concentration and General Science concentration), Associate in Applied Science (nursing) and certificate in Licensed Practical Nursing. These programs prepare students for careers as well as for advanced study in the disciplines it hosts. For students in other disciplines, the School offers courses that help them acquire knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in their chosen fields.

Another mission of the School of Science, Health and Technology is to promoting academic and professional success of students “one student at a time” through a supportive network, which includes tutoring, topical workshops, individualized pre-professional advising, research internships, invited lectures, faculty mentoring and student club activities.
