For those agencies that service individuals with disabilities and other special needs, our program offers not only college credits, but specialized workshops. These workshops are customized to address the needs of those who provide services to these unique populations. The Center for Professional Education maintains off-campus public schools sites conveniently located in Brooklyn, New York. Courses are scheduled after work hours and are open to all Medgar Evers College students. They are indicated by 080 sections in the Course Schedule. In addition, educational opportunities are becoming more readily available throughout Brooklyn as the Center for Professional Education has established satellite campuses in several Brooklyn communities. This new initiative has already begun with the implementation of the first off-campus site at the Medgar Evers College/ East New York satellite campus, located in Gershwin High School at 800 Van Siclen Avenue, Brooklyn, New York. This East New York site established in 1999 already serves over 300 students. For information on the East New York site call Joy Woolley, Coordinator at (718) 257-2702. On June 16, 2003, the College opened its second satellite campus located in Sunset Park at Middle School 136, 4004 4th Avenue, Brooklyn, New York. For information on the Sunset Park site call Bertha Navarro at (718) 871-4972 Ext. 103.
