The Department Philosophy & Religion provides the following high quality comprehensive educational programming for its students:
Curricula Goals:
- Curricula that prepares students for success in their chosen career path.
- Co-curricula and extracurricular activities that address contemporary issues.
- Faculty who are actively engaged in the teaching and learning process, conduct action-oriented research and community service, and partake in on-going professional development related to the teaching and learning function.
- Faculty who are effective classroom teachers, student mentors, and can integrate service-learning strategies into the curricula.
- Continuous assessment of degree quality and effectiveness.
Student Outcome Goals:
- Acquisition of the necessary tools, skills, and competencies to successfully undertake a concentration within the major.
