    The Department Philosophy & Religion provides the following high quality comprehensive educational programming for its students:

    Curricula Goals:

    1. Curricula that prepares students for success in their chosen career path.
    2. Co-curricula and extracurricular activities that address contemporary issues.
    3. Faculty who are actively engaged in the teaching and learning process, conduct action-oriented research and community service, and partake in on-going professional development related to the teaching and learning function.
    4. Faculty who are effective classroom teachers, student mentors, and can integrate service-learning strategies into the curricula.
    5. Continuous assessment of degree quality and effectiveness.
    Student Outcome Goals:
    1. Acquisition of the necessary tools, skills, and competencies to successfully undertake a concentration within the major.
    2. Strengthen ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
    3. Develop critical thinking skills and problem solving skills.
    4. Acquire quantitative skills and technological proficiencies.
    5. Acquire ability to work in teams and demonstrate leadership skills.
    6. Achievement of career goals by pursuing their major course of study.
    7. Acquire global perspective and appreciation for gender, cultural, racial and ethnic diversity.
    8. Acquire knowledge of moral and ethical theory and traditions.
    9. Record of community service.
    10. Completion of a senior project/thesis.
