Advisement and Mentoring Course Schedules: The Education Department offers convenient day and evening classes to accommodate fulltime and part-time candidates. Academic Advisement/ Mentorship: Each Education Degree candidate receives a personal mentor and specialized advisement by the Education faculty. All AA in Teacher Education program candidates must contact Ms. Raquel M. Bennett at (718) 270-4986, in room B-1007D, for mentorship. Please call or visit the Education Department if you have not met your mentor. You may also consult with our adviser in the Student Advocacy and Support Services Center (SASSC), Ms. Dorothy Beatty (718) 270-5144. Workshops: The Education Department offers Assessment of Teaching Skills-Written (ATS-W), Content Specialty Test (CST), and Liberal Arts and Science Test (LAST) workshops to prepare you for the New York State Teacher Certification Exam (NYSTCE). Distance Learning and Academic Development: In addition to weekly NYSTCE PREP workshops, the Education Department contracted CertEd.Com (http://www.certed.com) to provide NYSTCE test preparation Return to Education Degree Programs
