Students pursuing the B.S. degree in
Accounting may elect an emphasis on Certified Public Accounting or on
Managerial Accounting. Graduates who elect the CPA emphasis will be
able to sit for the professional CPA examination; those electing the Managerial
Accounting emphasis may take the CMA examinations. This alternative
professional credential prepares graduates for positions in industry,
government, and non-commercial entities where they perform accounting
analyses for internal managerial purposes.
