School of Business Course Directory |
The Department of Accounting offers students an educational program that prepares them for careers in Accounting. The program is built on a foundation with a strong emphasis in the liberal arts and general education. Upon the completion of our program, students are able to find employment in a variety of settings, which include public accounting, private, and government sector, and non-profit organizations. In addition, students are geared towards entrepreneurships and academia.
The degree programs in accounting and business are based on a general business core curriculum that equips graduates with a strong foundation in business management. After completing the business core curriculum, students may select upper level courses in accounting and obtain a B.S. in Accounting. In this degree program students may select courses that prepare them to qualify to take the CPA exams (the Accounting CPA required courses), or they may choose to follow the managerial accounting track.
The Department’s programs are also designed to enable students to develop the skills and competencies that prepare them for graduate and professional school. |
