Brown v. Board of Education: Conversations

STUDENTS RESOLVE TO IMPACT THE COMMUNITY

A community service project that involves student leaders speaking to middle and high school students about college life, their personal college experiences, and what college can offer to them.  It is both great plug-in for Medgar Evers College recruitment, but it also provides a significant contribution to the at-large community with students to student exchange, dialogue, and discussion.

Second, a voter registration drive and campaign that will unite student club resources towards a particular aim of direct civic-engagement in public affairs  This item was generated as a possible ADP activity by ADAFI and awaiting adoption by club(s) interested in serving in this campaign with a suggested youth/Hip Hop theme.

Lastly, we discussed organizational development of ADP initiatives that would require a recording secretary to catalogue, document, and capture in various forms of media the activities and events of ADP initiatives.  ADP volunteers are also encouraged to submit to the coordinator their civic-engagement activities for the purpose of being posted on the college website.
