Internet security settings
set too high, which is common among some on-the-job
network computers, may prevent users from downloading
the flash player on to their system which prevents them

Some home and work users
may have a personal firewall or firewall software running
which prevents certain scripts from running. In the
case of this site which uses javascript there are various
workarounds: 3
- Include this site in your list of trusted sites.
This site does not store any information on your computer,
modify any system settings, or collect any information
from your computer. 2
- Disable firewall software while viewing this site.
2 Do
not attempt to disable the actual firewall box (hardware).
- Tone down security settings for Firewall box (hardware)

| Problem: |
|
When I click on
the submit button for the "Join our Mailing List"
form. I receive a "Method not allowed" error. |
|
|
|
|
|
| Solution: |
|
Before the MEC LCN website
was available to the general public it was hosted on
a test server which did not allow specific methods,
such as the one performed by the submit button. Make
sure that the URL or web address you use to access the
official site is http://www.mec.cuny.edu/mec_lcn when
accessing from the Medgar Evers College homepage, or
http://www.isof.org/Projects/lcn from the ISOF website.
If it
is a different URL, you've reached that URL in error
and we ask that you please email technical support (listed
below), stating the pages that you visited on the site
and the URL you used to access that site.
If the URL is correct please email technical support
(listed below) as this is an unexpected error.

- See your System Administrator to adjust
your internet/security settings to view all the content
on this site.
- See instructions on how to do this through
your product manual and or documentation provided by your
product.
- For solutions with multiple fixes, it
is recommended that you only try those that apply to your
situation and that you try them one at a time. If the 1st
solution does not fix your problem, proceed to the next,
etc.
If the above fixes do not solve your problem, or your problem
is not listed, please email nbrewster@mec-acm.org
